Those Sparkly Things Called Designer Bracelets

If the word “gourmet” is applied to food to denote its quality and value, then the word “designer” is used on clothes and trinkets for the same reason. Of course, that includes designer bracelets! There are so many makers of designer bracelets out there, but they are created in limited a number of forms, such as:
The Cuff. These designer bracelets are solid and are reminiscent of (what else?) handcuffs. They are commonly made of silver, gold, platinum, and more recently, titanium and tungsten carbide. Since they are solid and usually wide, they can have engravings or studs of precious or semi-precious stones.
The good thing about these types is that they can be easily customized because they are wide. You can have them engraved or etched or studded – pretty much whatever design you fancy. However, these designer bracelets have one drawback and that is that they are hard to adjust, and in the case of titanium and tungsten, cannot be adjusted at all. Titanium is cut from a block and tungsten has a very high melting point, making both very tough. There are even some cuff bracelets that can only be opened with a key.
The chain style. These are bracelets of connected or braided links, which are more adjustable. These are commonly made of metals, too. Sometimes, designer bracelets of this type can have solid plates where a name or a commemorative phrase can be engraved. The links can also be interspersed with stones, or beads, or different metals. These bracelets can be chunky or delicate, depending upon the taste of the wearer. You may also incorporate a watch face on it, too.
The charms. By a single glance, the wearer of this type of bracelet can be summed up in words – fashionable. These designer bracelets are somewhat like the plain chain, but it has trinkets and other items linked to it that would represent the personality of the wearer. An example would be shoe charms for a shoe-aholic and pet items for dog lovers. Anything that can be turned into little pieces can be placed on a charms bracelet. There are other charm bracelets that give you the option to choose which charms you like to add.
The bead. These designer bracelets are made up of a series of beads, which could be semi-precious stones, glass, or crystal beads and soft stones. They are then tied together with materials like an elastic band or metal chain. This is probably the most colorful of all designer bracelets since it can contain every color. Take for example a “lampwork” of glass beads; it can have a rainbow of colors.
